ANC2D Minutes September 15, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 7pm. Both Commissioners being present, a quorum was determined and public notice of the meeting was confirmed.

A motion was made by Commissioner Candon to table the approval of minutes from previous meeting, reports from DC Gov’t officials, and the reports from Neighborhood Groups. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Greenwald and approved.

A motion was made by Commissioner Candon that ANC2D support Mitchell Park Day, to be held Oct 26, 2008. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Greenwald and approved.

A presentation by representatives of the ongoing Hilton renovation project was offered to the residents of ANC 2D and questions were taken and answered. The presentation was provided by Peter Comey and Sarah Hubbard, representing the owner of the Hilton, Lowe Enterprises, and Hany Hassan, the architect of the proposed condominium development.

Upon completion of the presentation, residents brought up remarks, asking that the ANC not ask for a delay in the hearing scheduled by HPRB. The ANC Commissioners indicated they would not ask for a delay in the hearing schedule before the HPRB, as two neighboring ANCs had requested.

It was announced that the next ANC2D meeting will be held on Oct 20 and the meeting was adjourned.
