Minutes from ANC2D meeting Nov 17, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm. Both Commissioners being present, a quorum was determined and the distribution of public notice of the meeting was confirmed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Greenwald and seconded by
Commissioner Candon to approve a statue of Eleftherios
Venizelos in front of the Greek Ambassador’s residence at
There was no report from MPD.
Mark Bjorge of the Mayor’s office was present and reported that the city was expecting 1-3 million people to attend President Elect Obama’s inauguration. It appears the city will be relaxing housing restrictions for the event and there will be rolling street closures.
There was no representative from Councilmember Evans’ office.
Neighborhood Groups: It was reported that Mitchell Park Day held on Oct 26 was a success, though attendance was down this year. There were no other neighborhood reports.
Old Business: There was no discussion of old business
New Business: It was announced that Sherri Kimble will be our new contact at Jack Evans’ office and that Desi Deschaine was also joining the councilmember’s office.
It was announced that the next meeting would be held on Jan 26. 2009. The meeting was adjourned at 830pm
