Minutes ANC 2D meeting Feb 22, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 705pm

A quorum was established

The minutes from the Jan 2010 meeting were approved.

A motion was made and approved to accept the Treasurer’s Report. It was reported that there is approximately $1500 left for additional funding requests

DC Gov’t:

MPD: Sgt McDonald reported increase in smartphone thefts,

Mayor’s Office: No Report

CouncilMember Evans’ office: No report

Neighborhood Groups:

Call Boxes: No report

Kalorama Village: luncheon scheduled for April 26 at 2101 Connecticut Ave; call to renew membership

Spanish Steps: Fountain base repair scheduled for June

Mitchell Park: Reported new signage; flea market in May

SKHA: No report

Language ETC: Planning for tour of ETC School at March ANC meeting; request for tutors and additional funding

Restore Mass Ave: members expressed concerns for unfinished corner at 22^nd and Florida; discussed plans to plant more trees April 2010

Old Business:

Chris Zieman of DDOT presented comprehensive traffic calming proposal to residents

New Business:

Keith Cross, Parking Enforcement of DPW answered residents questions; 202-576-6071 for dispatch unit of parking enforcement

It was announced the next meeting would be held on March 15, 2010 and the meeting was adjourned at 810pm.
