Minutes ANC2D meeting April 19, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 710 pm

A quorum was determined
There was approval of the minutes from March 2010 meeting

A motion was made and approved to accept the Treasurer’s Report.

DC Gov’t:

Council Member Jack Evans discussed possible solutions to the increasing traffic and parking problems associated with the Mosque on Mass Ave; discussed the current financial situation of the city

No representative from MPD

No representative from the Mayor’s Office

Neighborhood Groups:

Language ETC is having a fund raiser May 25; currently school 400 students

Friends of Mitchell Park reports the field has been seeded, reminder of May flea market

Friends of Spanish Steps reports fountain is still not repaired, spring fund raiser

Restore Mass Ave planted on corner Florida and 22^nd, Argyle House maintaining, fund raiser April 22

Call Boxes raised $6000, developing website www.sheridankaloramacallbox.com

Kalorama Village is having 2^nd lunch, urging members to renew

Ad Hoc Dog Park group developed to investigate the land behind Chinese Embassy

Old Business:

A motion was made and approved for a $500 grant for Restore Mass Ave

Rob Richards, construction manager, WASA project discussed concerns with residents RRICHARDS@BRYANT-DC.COM, 202-330-9490

New Business:

It was announced the next meeting would be held on May 17, 2010 and the meeting was adjourned at 835pm.
