Minutes ANC2D Meeting April 20, 2009

The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm

A quorum was determined

There was a formal election of officers of the ANC. Dana S Greenwald is to be Chair and Secretary; MaryEva Candon is to be Vice-Chair and Treasurer.

The minutes from March meeting were approved.

A motion was made and approved to accept the Treasurer’s Report.

DC Governmentt:

There was no representative from MPD

Sherri Kimball from Council Member Evans’ office was introduced

Francisco Fimbres from the Mayor’s office was introduced.

Neighborhood Groups:

Kalorama Village reported their First Annual Spring Fair to be held at the Church April 29, 2009 5-7pm

Spanish Steps noted a spring fund raising goal of $10,000

Friends of Mitchell Park reported there will be a Square Dance May 29, 2009 5-8pm. There is an ongoing discussion concerning Films in the Field and Mitchell Park Day, all dependent on the status of the park renovation

Old Business:

No discussion.

New Business:

It was mentioned that 2100 Connecticut Ave was having their trash picked up before 7am, in violation of DC law. This was going to be investigated by the mayor’s office.

Suggestions were made to increase resident participation in the monthly meeting, including posting of notices.

It was announced the next meeting would be held on May 18, 2009 and the meeting was adjourned at 7:59pm.
